Bosvelija and turmeric

Bosvelija and turmeric

Bosvelija serrata and turmeric are part of traditional Indian medicine known as ayurveda. Turmeric and Bosvelija are often used individually, but science once again confirms to us that the old theorem is very true – together we are stronger and this also applies to the interaction of turmeric and bosnian. Both herbs are best known for their anti-inflammatory action. Research has shown that mutual consumption of turmeric and bosvelia makes sense and works effectively for joint health. There are now many dietary supplements on the market that contain a combination of the two.

About Bosvelia

Boswellie serrate extracts, an ancient Indian tree, have been used in India for centuries as part of Ayurvedic medical science due to beneficial effects on a range of inflammatory diseases. With its anti-inflammatory and painkillers it relieves problems with arthritis, asthma, Crohn's disease, back pain and many others. Boswellia serrata is a tree that grows in the aulyi case in the aulysing parts of India, North America and the Middle East. Salai gugul, a boswelle serrate discharge, has been recommended in ancient Indian medical books, as it has been recommended for various problems, such as rheumatoid arthritis, abdominal pain, driers, asthma, bronchitis, cancer.

Bosvelija in religious ceremonies

The extract was also used in religious ceremonies in ancient Persia, Babylon and Greece, and the plant is even mentioned by the Bible. Today, the extract of bosvelia is mainly used due to its anti-inflammatory effects. Bosvelija inhibits the action of inflammatory mediators by acting on the enzyme lipooxygenase and in this way can help reduce inflammation in diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, colitis, asthma, etc. Some anti-inflammatory NSAIDs have a similar effect, but these work differently. The main advantage of bosvelia is that due to its different action it does not promote the degradation of glycosamine glycolycans and does not irritate the stomach, but is also effective in different types of inflammation.

What do they say about bosvelia research?

Research shows that the use of bosvelia extracts in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis can help reduce joint inflammation, increase joint motility and elasticity and relieve difficulty in movement. It also increases the production of fluid inside the joints, which acts as a lubricant, thus facilitating the movement and circulation of the joints. In a 2006 clinical trial, scientists compared the effects of bosvelia and NSAIDs with valdecoxib. They found that the effect of bosvelia is expressed later, with the most pronounced results after a month of taking, but the positive effects are also felt up to one month after stopping. NSAIDs, on the other hand, showed a faster effect, but it also quickly subsided after stopping.

Use of Bosnia

The use of bosvelia extracts in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis helps to reduce pain due to joint inflammation, increase joint motility and elasticity and relieve difficulty in movement. Positive effects of bosvelia have also been observed in asthmatics. Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the airways, resulting in increased production of mucus and increased airway responsiveness. The active substances present in the bosvelia may reduce the inflammatory reaction and accumulation of mucus in the lungs. The enzyme 5-lipooxygenase is also responsible for the development and progression of inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract. These may be shown in the form of Crohn's disease (chronic inflammatory diseases of the intestine with severe surgical and immune complications), colitis (inflammation of part of the large intestine) and ilitis (inflammation of part of the small intestine). Bosvelija can alleviate the symptoms of all these diseases by blocking the enzyme and is even more effective than standard therapies with the active substance mesalazin.

In addition to reducing the inflammatory reaction, bosvelija can have a positive effect on the immune system as it acts antimicrobial and has an anticrogen effect. U.S. scientists are currently exploring the effects of combined treatment of a brain tumor with standard therapy and boslia extracts compared to the effects of standard therapy itself. It is also interesting that, despite many positive effects, no adverse reactions or toxicity to bosvelia have been reported in the studies.

Turmeric

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a common spice in many ethnic cuisines, including India and Arabic cuisine.  Turmeric has been shown to be anti-inflammatory. The primary function of turmeric is the effect on signal and proinflamatory cytokines NF-κB. Like bosvelija, turmeric particularly supports the health of joints. Turmeric is classified as a superfoutriy due to its efficiency and composition.

Active substances in turmeric

In turmeric is located about 5% of the main active substance called curcumin, which comes from the group of flavonoids. It also contains other active substances, such as turmeron, which stimulates the recovery of brain cells and connections between brain cells, thus preventing various degenerative diseases of the brain (Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, stroke). In the turmeric, we find a kin. The formation of this substance in the body is stimulated by the blood wall to protect against digestive juices.

Curcumin is an active substance in the condiment of turmeric (lat. Curcuma longa), which thrives in India, Indonesia and China.Curcumin is most highly regarded for its exceptional anti-inflammatory properties, so it is used to treat skin, joints and livers and to prevent cancers.

The turmeric compound was first chemically isolated in 1815, but it took more than 100 years for scientists to fully understand its chemical structure. Through intensive research in the 20th century, scientists discovered many of the healing properties of curcumin for the human body.

Medicinal properties of curcumin

  • It acts anti-inflammatory: on the bladder, gums, joints (e.g. osteoarthritis of the knee), eyes, skin (dermatitis and psoriasis)... The dose of curcumin should be high enough (400-600 mg 3x daily).
  • For finer skin: turmeric paste is used in Wedding Ceremonies in India, as it is supposed to have a positive effect on health and thus the appearance of the skin.
  • It relieves pain (e.g. arthritis).
  • It has a strong antioxidants effect
  • Regulates blood sugar
  • Relieves Allergies
  • Reduces the risk of heart attack
  • It effectively treats viral hepatitis as curcumin boasts antiviral and antibacterial activity
  • It supports the proper functioning of the liver, gallbladder and digestive organs: the liver acts detoxifying, stimulates the production of digestive juices, cures coltus, Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Helps fight depression
  • Slowing down symptoms of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease: preventing brain cell death and stimulating the formation of new
  • Slowing the development of multiple sclerosis
  • It works anti-cancer: it inhibits the growth of tumours and thus the spread of cancers. Especially effective works on breast, prostate, stomach, duodenal and liver cancers.
  • It prevents the accumulation of fatty tissue: it improves fat metabolism through its action.

Can we overdose with curcumin?

The consumption of curcumin rarely causes unwanted side effects. The consumption of large amounts of curcumin is not recommended for pregnant women and people with kidney stones, as a significant amount of oxanate is found in the turmeric.

Bosvelija serrata dietary supplement

Turmeric and Bosvelija are two herbs known to ancient medicine and whose work is still being studied today by scientists, says Jeremy Appleton, N.D., in a 2011 report he wrote for the Journal of Natural Medicine. It states that active compounds in these plants work through several mechanisms, rather than targeting one enzyme or receptor. Both herbs, both bosvelija and turmeric, have the ability to support joint health and treat inflammation.

Bosvelijo and turmeric are found in dietary supplements, which are designed to support joint health. It is a combination that is already used in clinical practice. Bio bosvelija, hemp and curcumin is dietary supplement containing in addition to turmeric and bosvelia also cannabidiol powder.

All three active substances act synergyally to increase their effectiveness. The product is also distinguished by excellent absorption, because all extracts are water-soluble.
