Hemp in diet

After composition, hemp is almost the perfect food. It has 33% protein, 12% carbohydrates, 39% unsaturated fats and 5% saturated fat. In addition to the omega-9 fatty acid content, omega-3 and omega-6 is an ideal ratio for the human body and is the only representative in the plant world with this advantage. It also contains a lot of fiber, minerals, of which calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper and manganese are most important. Depending on how many beneficial substances it contains, hemp seeds can be classified as a superfoa.

Hemp seeds are fruits

Hemp seeds are fruits that have high dietary substances for humans and animals, and their great advantage is that they do not contain any toxic and disturbing substances, so they can be consumed raw. Hemp seed contains an abundance of essential fatty acids, linoleic and linolenic acid. These are not only produced by our bodies, so we have to enter them with food. Hemp seeds and hemp oil have them to the extent by far.

Due to the high sensitivity of fatty acids to heat, light and oxygen, hemp oil should be carefully obtained and stored in a cool and dark place. Hemp seeds, especially paddy seeds, bind to themselves with poisons, so their consumption is successfully used to detoxify and cleanse the body. Their husk is an important part of their use as they work as an intestinal broom and help clean the intestines.

Hemp seeds do not contain THC cannabinoid. They also do not contain gluten, milk sugar and do not cause allergies. In addition to hemp seeds st an excellent source of rich nutritional substances also hemp powder and hemp juice.

Use of hemp seeds in the kitchen

Hemp seeds are best consumed raw and unsealed, as this retains the most beneficial effects. Since shellings are quite disruptive for most people it is best to grind paddy seeds. The best way to process the seed is a hand-held terile or a mill with stone mill wheels. The simplest, most accessible and fastest way is to grind hemp seeds in a coffee grinder. Care should be taken not to grind them for too long, as they contain a lot of fat, which clings to the edge and bottom of the grinder when milling, which can lead to overheating. Seeds can also be grinded with dried fruit.

Since hemp seeds are sensitive to heat it is best to add them to cooked dishes at the end. This will be the case in the most pristine form.

Recipe for making polivka with kale and hemp

What do we need?

  • 1 head kale
  • 120 g ground hemp seeds
  • 1 onion
  • 3 crushed garlic pods
  • handful of dried mushrooms
  • Laurel
  • Coriander
  • ground cumin
  • Salt Oil

Preparation of the polivka

Serve a tablespoon of coriander seeds in the teril and sauté them together with the onions to smell nice. Then add a handful of dried sponges and sliced kale to the strips. Roast for 5 minutes, then salt and pour in a little water and add the bay leaf. We suffocate to the soft. If necessary, water with a little water. Finally, add the hemp seeds, cumin and garlic and suffocate for another 5 minutes.
